The entire system needs an overhaul, including ensuring provision of appropriate and reliable transport for our rural communities.

Parents of children and young people with SEND, special educational needs and disabilities, are thrown into an adversarial system where they have to fight LAs to get their child/yp's needs met. It's exhausting, dehumanising and it doesn't work for anyone involved.

Earlier today, I visited @SteppingStoneDS with @alexbrewer, who made a huge impact running it before entering Parliament. The work they do for children with Down syndrome and their families is inspiring.
