@GenerallyLeMay @campbellclaret I mean, the washing machine overheated and it had to be sent to be fixed. So we could send some plumbers and electricians. At least they could sort it. Being a holiday weekend though it will probably be double time

Have you talked to Pole, a Croatian, a Slovenian or an Estonian lately? Or by Eastern Europe do you mean Hungary? And btw Ari the country you refer to is not England. It’s called the UK. I thought you might have remembered that from when we worked together in Afghanistan and Iraq. Scots Welsh and N Irish fought alongside your people post 9/11 on the one time Article 5 was activated at 🇺🇸 request. Surprised you’re not calling out this Trumpian madness. I suspect your old boss is despite his long term public silence, which I really wish he would. This is not a normal presidency and your country’s reputation is being damaged globally in ways it will take a long time to recover

When this is over, the western part of NATO will never be the same. Spain, England, France and Italy have sold us out, as they too often have a history of doing. Eastern European nations are the heart of NATO. They spend money on defense, know how to fight and love the US. France particularly deserves fault and blame. From supporting China and Russia at the UN to denying Americans overflight rights, they’re doing what they’ve always done - showing weakness, while cutting deals with terrorists. (The reason the US has a Marine Corps and Navy is unlike France, we refused to pay a ransom to the Barbary Pirates. France is always happy to cut a deal.) Wars have unintended consequences as nations show their true colors. NATO will never be the same, and Western European weakness and acquiescence is the cause.

@campbellclaret You have one operational destroyer, and both of your carriers are in maintenance. You pretend your base in Cyprus wasn't attacked by Iran because you can't project power. If the US were attacked tomorrow, what assets would you even be able to send? Such embarrassment for the UK.

@AriFleischer The UK, not England, supported the US in Gulf War 1, then Gulf War 2, then in Afghanistan so do one with your self pitying whine about being "sold out". Prick!

@TheAnfieldWrap @johngibbonsblog At a time when Celtic fc block their own fan media from the block, they allow Liverpool fan media access. And what is worse, the Anfield Wrap agrees to this access. So disappointed in this Liverpool fan media.

@KarlTurnerMP @AnasSarwar @UKLabour Is this how English politicians view the role of Scottish First Minister? A pretend role that everyone deserves a chance to play at? He deserves, and will get, nothing at this election.

@GrahamSpiers I have no view on Hodgson one way or another, but that is a pathetic piece of writing. Certainly neither fascinating, not thought-provoking, unless your thoughts are why would anyone wish to write such a nasty, sleekit piece?

Three times. Three times @JohnSwinney was asked to come and see Scotland’s only night shelter. Three times he refused. Too busy. Too important. Too focused elsewhere. While people are sleeping rough… While people are cold, hungry, and at risk… While volunteers are stepping up where government has failed… He won’t even come and look. This isn’t about a diary. This is about priorities. If you won’t face the reality of homelessness, if you won’t meet the people suffering, if you won’t stand beside those on the frontline… Then you are not leading you are hiding. This isn’t leadership. This is neglect. Power over people. Image over action. Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 deserves better.

@joannaccherry To be fair the SNP had a bully and abuser, in Alex Salmond, leading the party for years. Someone you were close with I'm sure?

As heard in evidence at his trial SNP HQ ignored complaints against Jordan Linden. This was part of a systemic failure which went on for years. Complaints of harassment or bullying were ignored unless they could be weaponised against those seen as a threat to the leadership. 1/3

We would like to take a moment to sincerely thank @Malcolm_Offord Leader of @ReformUKScot @reformparty_uk for taking the time to visit our night shelter and soup kitchen. This visit took place around a month ago, and what stood out most was that it was never about headlines, publicity, or press. In fact, he was very clear from the beginning he did not want any media attention around his visit. He simply wanted to come, see the reality on the ground, and listen. During his time with us, he spoke directly with our service users, took the time to understand their experiences, and showed a genuine interest in the challenges people facing homelessness in Scotland deal with every day. He also took the time to personally thank our volunteers recognising the incredible work they do, night after night, supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our communities. We also appreciate the invitation extended by Malcolm to our Chairman and Founder to attend the launch of their manifesto, continuing what we hope will be meaningful discussions around real solutions to homelessness. This visit wasn’t about politics it was about people. And for that, we are truly grateful. Homeless Project Scotland.

When I was young, the UK and Norway both started drilling for oil and gas in the North Sea Thatcher WASTED the proceeds on privatisation and tax cuts for the rich Norway put it into a National Wealth Fund to help generations of Norwegians
Robert Jenrick@RobertJenrick

Britain has paid Norway over £100 billion for gas since 2021. For gas they’re drilling in the North Sea, the same sea Ed Miliband has banned new drilling in on the British side. Madness.
