It's 0.8 miles from home to my older son's school. Just today, the ride home yielded 4 red light runs, at least 1 roll through a stop sign, and amazingly, no less than 2 blatant school bus stop sign passes. @CityOfPeekskill leadership has almost completely failed this community.

Thinking about how there's a dinky town of 16k pop in the middle of Oklahoma that has a real streetcar because the mayor used states funds to fix their sewer system with an ISTEA grant And because it's a transit grant this streetcar has to be in daily service every day

This wouldn't be easy, but politically it's the lowest fruit in Peekskill. Our current leaders would rather fund fragile public craft projects, dole out grant money to their friends, deny housing, and build parking.
