@liziwake @pegmorrisart @janisgoodman There's been a big growth of action on Bluesky this week. Lots of familiar names have moved over. It works in a similar way to this place so it is easy to switch.

I think in view of recent events in the US I will probably be leaving Twitter. It’s a shame- it used to be a great community and I made lots of connections, especially through #drawingaugust. I’ll be on Instagram & on Threads but I think it’s time to step away from here.

@chrimw I completely understand. I’m leaning towards just taking a break from Twitter for a while. There’s definitely a problem with a person having too much money.

@davidparfittRI Maybe I’ll just take a break from it first a while. I’m reluctant to delete the whole thing…

@pegmorrisart I’ve blocked hundreds of accounts and muted others in an attempt to filter out the nastiness, but those friendly connections we used to make I think are sadly disappearing. I hate angry Twitter but refuse to be battered into submission by that xxxx.

@liziwake @janisgoodman I’m only dabbling with Threads. I agree that it’s not great. I do quite like Instagram though.

@janisgoodman @pegmorrisart Agreed. Threads has gone downhill quickly since its inception. Twitter is far more controllable.

@davidparfittRI Yes, it just doesn’t feel the same any more. I remember the excitement of connecting with artists all over the world through drawing august but Elon Musk is so vile I don’t want to be associated with him.

@pegmorrisart It’s just very sad the way that this platform has been pushed away from the friendly community we once knew.
