Ness used the Pencil Eraser. For some weird reason, the iron pencil statue was erased!

For some weird reason, in older versions of Yume Nikki there would be a giant pencil-shaped iron statue blocking the player's path to certain areas, rendering them inaccessible. The significance of the statue is unknown, and there's no trace of it in current versions of the game.
