@RugbyInsideLine @BristolBears @ExeterChiefs @gloucesterrugby @Harlequins @LeicesterTigers @Saracens My favourite so far

Fourth nomination for ‘Collision of the Week’ as Ben Curry sends Finn Russell flying.
Can we reach 50% of Premiership clubs with one more @BristolBears @ExeterChiefs @gloucesterrugby @Harlequins @LeicesterTigers @Saracens?

@TheRugbyPaper Championship budget slashed but £22million a year for women's rugby? He has no intention of supporting our second tier. Hopefully Jersey Reds can romance their way into the French leagues and play in a competent system.

Bill Sweeney has pledged Twickenham’s support for the Championship but said the level of funding for the second tier will not be decided until the agreement with the Premiership clubs is renewed

@LineoutNause The Fiji story is all that is keeping me engaged at this point. Coverage, punditry, officiating, all trying their best to speed up our journey into turgidness.

@JosephPolitano Isn't a significant part of London's richness due to the scarcity value across those areas (and others)? So those initiatives would also need to factor in a reduction in that scarcity value. Would the delta be worth it?

@willgkelleher @AlexMLowe @TimesSport Generally speaking it is easier to fix something that you broke. Sweeney is an absolute joke but honestly I'm more pissed off by the apparent indifference of clubs and players at all levels. They either don't care or are cowards.

@TelegraphRugby @fi_tomas_ It's not the cost, it's the opportunity cost. How valuable is the other thing they'll broadcast? Significantly more I expect.
English

The BBC and ITV were offered the chance to broadcast England Women v Canada for free.
Neither broadcaster wanted to.

@ShaunOfTheFuzz @willgkelleher @TimesSport That was the example I had in mind, I just didn't want to jinx your quarter final. My wife is an Irish fan and has enjoyed pretty much every international for the last few years. I envy that.
English

@PenCox @willgkelleher @TimesSport 100%. People have used the world cup as a punchline for Ireland for years, but I wouldn’t trade how good being an Irish fan has been over the last decade for a boom and bust approach to peaking at the world cup. Why devalue everything except 7 weeks every 4 years!?

@MartinXRugby It's not in the head contact framework so refs don't know what to do.
English

Surprised (but not surprised as it’s social media) at the debate around this.
Ref has applied the law and therefore always going to be a red. If you don’t like the law that’s a separate issue. But, can’t knock the ref for applying the law & therefore the outcome. 🟥

@ApsmRugby Ahhhhh the good old days. The scars on my back are tingling.
English

@G4rethM4tthew5 @mauloverpodcast You probably could list some but I don't think you will find any as impactful as the ones missed for Fiji. I've got to work and we're not going to agree. Let's hope Fiji make it right and get out of the group like they deserve to.
English

@PenCox @mauloverpodcast To be fair that’s my view on this. We were served up the game of the weekend and Twitter is moaning about the ref letting the game flow. I could list a dozen decisions that disadvantaged Wales but it’s swings and roundabouts. Fiji lost through fluffing 4 tries
English

Look at this! Straight to the pocket for the Fiji 7 despite the Welsh continuous infringement on their own line!!
Matt Carley has handed this to wales with a 14 point swing!

@G4rethM4tthew5 @mauloverpodcast Watch it in real time if you like. Then do the same for Davies tackle. They're not the same. Now, I hate this new bedwetting rugby we're forced to endure. I'd say play on for all these tackles but I'm sorry, Wales got away with that one big time.
English

@PenCox @mauloverpodcast To be fair still shots can tell a tale not befitting of the incident. Put a still shot on the high tackle on Davies and it’s a straight red. There’s no evidence of head contact in your photo. Ref missed plenty for/against both sides. Fiji constantly sealing off. Epic game!
