@HatTrickChris 24 more games is not a good thing. The 3rd place argument is good. But too many groups is not good either, are teams going to rest 9 days between match 1 and 2? I watched every match this WC but one, and it was a bit too much honestly.

Might be an unpopular opinion but going from 48 to 64 is a W. ✅ No 3rd place teams make the knockout rounds- 16 groups of 4, top 2 from each group make RO32 ✅ Adding 16 teams (4 groups of 4) adds 24 more games ✅ We’d be adding decent teams like: 🇮🇹🇩🇰🇵🇱🇮🇪🇭🇺🇳🇬🇨🇲🇨🇷

@fmeetsdata Though Mbappe has one good assist and 2 where Dembele did everything. But I like the idea of "you lost an opportunity to score by giving a goal to a teammate". I'll like the 1st tiebreaker to be non penalty goals. Though if the foul was committed to you then is a bit harsh too.

@fmeetsdata The minutes play criteria is a bit iffy. It could be because you did something good, rest the 3rd match, you did something bad, you got eliminated earlier. Not sure how I feel about it. Assist, has nothing to do with scoring goals, but I can see the reward of it.

If anything, he is the one who is more confrontational here. The booking for Olise was definitely influenced by the Oscar-worthy acting of Paraguayan player.

@morgz_bowkz Amigo el ranking que se usó en la publicación de Argentina es el que salió en 11 de junio antes del inicio del mundial . Suiza en la actualidad es 14 no 19 y Egipto 24 no 28.

Lo que pasó anoche fue una vergüenza. Y lo es porque es la manipulación de la tecnología para encubrir un error que no debió pasar. Y además de manera muy evidente. Los jugadores de Noruega lo discutieron y nadie absolutamente nadie le hizo caso, son las tvs norteamericanas, que podrán tener muchos defectos pero en deportes no se callan nada las que destapan el error. El comunicado de la FIFA fue chusco anoche, negando la evidencia y poniéndonos un electrocardiograma con la imagen más lejana que encontraron a mano. Lo dijimos en el Croacia v Portugal, sí tenemos que creer a un sensor en contra de nuestros sentidos, que no sabemos quién lo calibra, y que ha funcionado en este Mundial para decisiones a favor de obra, mal vamos. Ayer el VAR no actúa cuando debe en esta jugada, pero actúa en una jugada gris para anular el segundo gol noruego, en general el Mundial ha sido arbitrado así, todas las decisiones han beneficiado al que cualquier aficionado neutral consideraba el grande. Si la FIFA nos informa partido tras partido de llenos hasta la bandera cuando en la TV se ven cientos de sillas vacías, si han cambiado tarjetas rojas al llamado de un jefe de estado, si han corregido goles por un roce a 100 metros de la portería del gol, si nos dicen que un gol se anula pese a que en cámara no se aprecie que se le mueva un pelo al jugador que "cabecea"... más lo de este lance... @Leonlight97 @Barsalev @NeilA1878 I find that a bit surprising. I guess that it wasn't a super solid contact if not it would be too obvious. But certainly a bigger impact that the wind. But I understand that the technology is built to reduce vibration.
