Experimenting with #OpenStreetMap admin borders and filtering by if they are part of multiple admin relations at their lowest admin_level. Ends up hiding borders on water where they aren't between multiple countries. Data © OpenStreetMap

@helenmakesmaps @openstreetmap I think the market forces would have resulted in *some* high-detail open map, worldwide medium-detail map, frequently updated map, and crowdsourced map if OpenStreetMap hadn't come along. They might not have all been the same map and that would have raised barriers.

Amazing open data release! Was not expecting @Satellogic to set a new standard for open data releases, but at initial glance this one looks pretty incredible. The ideal license, lots of data, and using @STACspec plus released on hugging face.
