The hardest part to accept in what he said is that the black jurors they tried said they could not convict a black kid to prison for killing a white kid. That shocked me. If I were a juror and a Black kid died at the hands of a white kid, I would have zero problem convicting him. I would not think twice about his race. Surprised me, people think that way.

A Bulgarian man who made disgusting sexual comments to a group of schoolgirls in Dundee before violently attacking them has been found guilty. Ilia Belov, 22, and his 20-year-old sister Nadjedzha Belova faced court this week over a chaotic confrontation in Dundee's Lochee area last August that went viral online. The clip showed a 12-year-old girl waving a knife and small axe in what she described as a desperate attempt to protect herself and her friends after being assaulted. Many newspapers, politicians, and online commentators branded the child a feral thug and suggested she and her friends were the real aggressors. Former First Minister Humza Yousaf weighed in, dismissing concerns about the incident as far-right misinformation. But as Dundee Sheriff Court heard this week, the full picture, backed by CCTV and credible testimony from the girls tells a very different story. It was a sunny afternoon on 23 August 2025 when four girls, aged between 12 and 14, were walking to a bus stop in St Ann Lane. Belov, a grown man in his early twenties, was strolling past with his sister. "Hello sexy," he said. "I'll show you a good time." Shocked and creeped out, the girls called him out for his perverted behaviour and labelled him a creep. That’s when things turned violent. Belov pushed the 12-year-old so hard that her head slammed into a metal handrail. His sister grabbed a 13-year-old by the hair, dragged her to the ground, and struck her on the head. Only then, in fear after being assaulted by two adults did the youngest girl pull the knife and axe she had been carrying concealed in her waistband. Belov, instead of backing off, filmed her. At the two-day trial, Belov claimed self-defence, saying he only pushed the girl after seeing the knife and that the girls had been abusive first. The sheriff ruled his evidence wholly unconvincing and self-serving and said the girls testimony was eloquent and credible. The sheriff was entirely satisfied that Belov's sexual comments were the trigger for the whole incident. In the immediate aftermath, police statements focused heavily on the weapons, leading to the 12-year-old facing scrutiny. Tayside Police later admitted their early information did not fully reflect the situation after reviewing CCTV. Belov was convicted of assaulting the 12-year-old and behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards the group of four girls. His sister pleaded guilty to assaulting the 13-year-old by hair-pulling and striking her. Both were released on bail and will be sentenced on 5 August 2026. Since everyone is talking about the Karmelo and Austin Metcalf case. On May 3, 2022, at Belton High School in TEXAS, a fight broke out in a school bathroom between Caysen Allison (white) and Jose “Joe” Luis Ramirez Jr. (Hispanic). Ramirez and Allison had reportedly been feuding after an earlier dispute. During the fight, Allison stabbed Ramirez multiple times with a knife. Ramirez later died from his injuries. Allison admitted to the stabbing but claimed he acted in self-defense. The jury: Found Allison NOT GUILTY of murder Found him GUILTY of criminally negligent homicide, a lesser offense. Why the Lesser Verdict? At trial: The defense argued Allison was being attacked and feared for his safety. Evidence included video and testimony that Ramirez threw punches first and that Allison claimed he was outnumbered by Ramirez and his friends. The jury rejected the murder charge but concluded Allison’s actions were criminally negligent. What Caysen did the Hispanic kid was way worst than Austin and it didn’t get the same media attention.

@valiej79 @ZeekArkham I hear you. I understand what you are saying. But, Jesus taught forgiveness. This kid will spend most of his life in jail; justice has been served. I can only imagine how I would feel... so, yes, I have sorrow for his mom and dad who have essentially lost their son too.

Just finished a 12 hour drive to South Carolina on my way to Florida. Jumped on here and saw the Anthony verdict came down. The only people I’m praying for and hoping they find a level of comfort regarding this decision is the Metcalf family. They’re going to have to grieve their son for a long time. I’ve held sobbing mothers. It’s heartbreaking. Karmelo Anthony made a decision to stab someone and was charged and convicted of it. This isn’t an example of racial bias or some sort of injustice in the legal system. This isn’t “systemic racism.” Anthony did an evil thing and is facing the consequences of it. I don’t feel sorry for him at all.
