@MacchiVS Wise words. Proper and honest communication is highly important from both provider and client.

A common issue I notice with providers within this industry is the lack of consistency especially when it comes to client communication. I feel like it’s such an easy problem to fix and comes down to speaking to clients clearly and professionally. Something as simple as this can be the deciding factor when a client is choosing you over someone else. A client will choose an average-skilled provider who is reliable and communicates well over someone highly skilled but is inconsistent, keeps going silent, and constantly pushes deadlines. About 95% of my clients are repeat customers who I’ve worked with for over one to two years, and because of that, I haven’t had to go out of my way to find new ones in a year or two. In a field with very little job security like freelancing, repeat customers are invaluable and maintaining them shouldn’t even take a lot of effort as long as you’re doing your part. Obviously health issues and personal matters are unavoidable, but that is exactly why communication matters. 9 times out of 10, clients are willing to adjust timelines if you’re upfront about what’s going on as early as possible. (As long as you don’t take it for granted and constantly push them over the edge.) If you get communication and rapport right, you won’t constantly be chasing your next client. A lot of my relationships with clients have naturally evolved to a point where it feels like we’re just good friends building cool (and also stupid) things together. 🤠

The past couple of years for me have been pretty rough, but since Feb 1st, I’ve turned things around. I’ve stayed consistent with workouts, meals, and cutting sugar and bread. I’m down 57 lbs, feeling great, and still have the rest of this year to keep doing my best.

@Junkusan Then it's definitely important to give your mind some time to rest. Deep breaths and just taking a step back can work wonders. Perhaps a light skincare routine could be beneficial as well. Treat yourself for the work you put in. You got this 💙
