🚨 DON'T EVER BUY A DOG OFF THIS CRETIN CONVICTED | alleged backyard breeder Ross Skilton from #bridgerule, #holsworthy, Devon EX22 – kept dogs and cats in a “horror house”. Skilton's conviction for animal cruelty followed a multi-agency investigation involving Torridge District Council, the RSPCA, and the police It came after the council received a complaint from a member of the public who had purchased a Jack Russell/English springer spaniel crossbreed puppy from Skilton, who wasn’t licensed as a breeder. The buyer reported that the puppy had health issues, was underweight and infested with fleas and worms. They also raised concerns over the conditions at the property and alleged that Bengal cats were also being bred and sold there. In January 2025 the council executed a search warrant at Skilton’s address in conjunction with a veterinary professional, RSPCA officers and police. Investigators described a “horror house” contaminated with animal waste. This included diarrhoea on furniture, urine throughout the rooms and stairways, and cat faeces measuring several centimetres deep in one room. Several animals were found to be living in atrocious and distressing circumstances. Two young dogs were discovered shut inside a kitchen with no access to drinking water and were visibly desperate for hydration. Seven Bengal cats of various ages were discovered at the address. One Bengal kitten was assessed by a veterinary surgeon and diagnosed with gastrointestinal disease, which would have caused pain and suffering for at least two weeks. A further two dogs were found living in a shed in the garden. The council said there was "insufficient evidence" for a prosecution for unlicensed breeding or selling of animals as pets. All of the animals were nursed back to health by the RSPCA and rehomed. Sentencing | 12‑month community order with 120 hours of unpaid work and 12 mental health treatment sessions. The Greyhound in this picture is Havana Class, this 'champion' dog is now in China being used as a breeding machine. The only exported Greyhounds to make it out of China alive so far have been via the efforts of Candy’s Hound Rescue. We need to completely stop the Greyhound racing community exporting their dogs to countries with zero animal welfare laws.
