The idea of having a National Infrastructure Fund is not a bad idea at all. However, as Parliament, we have not discussed it, and as far as I know, there is no National Infrastructure Fund as we speak today. There may be intentions or a proposal by the Executive, and the President and the Cabinet are within their right to make such a proposal.

Rather curious drop in FX reserves last week (by $ 283 million), last week. We're still in relatively healthy territory, with 5-months of imports cover. Still...an interesting move at a time when the $/KES touched 130.04, then pulled back. It's gone as low as 129.75 today.

The late Raila Odinga, CGH was called so many derogatory names in his life and most painful of all was a betrayer. When he agreed to work with President Ruto it was for national stability in what started out as an anti finance bill and almost turned to anarchy. This was nothing new. Even his worst enemies will tell you he won the 2007 elections but he chose the country over his personal ambitions. He chose not to let people die so he could become President. Him leading us to the broad based government was more for peace than personal gain. What would an 80 year old former PM, minister, MP and VPs son need money for anyway. We miss you dearly Baba. Rest in peace.
