Westfield, NJ, is redeveloping 7.3 acres of an abandoned department store and parking lot to build retail, offices, 138 senior, 21 affordable, and 29 market-rate housing units next to a NJT train station. This should be what every NY/NJ/CT station area looks like at minimum.

The US House just voted to repeal $27 billion in funding for critical energy efficiency improvements and other emission-reducing measures – $ primarily for use in low-income and disadvantaged communities. This is shortsighted and reckless – and has no chance of becoming law.

209-204: House mainly along party lines passed legislation to repeal 2 climate change programs,the Inflation Reduction Act's methane fee & greenhouse gas reduction fund adminstered by EPA. It was the sixth energy policy measures the House voted on as part of GOP's "Energy Week."
