It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and one voice by the whole American People…to set apart and observe…a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens.

This is an extraordinary film. On one level, it is about a magnificent husband, father, athlete, partner, and friend suffering a horrific, catastrophic bicycle accident in Santa Barbara, California, and how, remarkably, he competes in three triathlons within 12 months of being near death on the hood of a truck. From another perspective, it is about grit, determination, recovery, resilience, perseverance, focus, performance, and sheer force of will. The film is moving, inspiring, and rewarding to watch.
