We recently had the privilege of attending @africamediafest and it was incredibly uplifting to witness creatives from other areas, other than Nairobi, being showcased on such a grand platform. Among the talents, Osiro Music & Band , along with two remarkable photographers; @petermkristo Randu represented our Kibaraza program — an initiative dedicated to empowering Malindi creatives to be better, create better, create more, and monetize their talents. This inclusion is a testament to our ongoing advocacy, in partnership with @BarazaLab, for the representation of rural creatives both in opportunities and decision-making processes. The visibility and platform given to these artists at the festival is a significant stride towards realizing our goal. @Oltipipini @kinjeketile The economics of real estate is a little different from tourism. The former often milks a place in favour of the investor while the latter injects money to local businesses and has a lasting change. As a member of PWAM, market Malindi and encourage businesses.

@kinjeketile This is the Kingi legacy of disinvestment and mismanagement of resources. There is another truth, we have a growing real estate market that’s ready to take off. I can assure you that the local tourism enthusiasm for MALINDI is sound and kicking.

Malindi is going through tough times. I am not sure even direct flights from Italy will help much if they expand the Airport. Somehow Diani is thriving on the other side, and a large number of visitors are locals.
