We have been made aware that the Advanced Custom Fields plugin on the WordPress directory has been taken over by WordPress dot org. A plugin under active development has never been unilaterally and forcibly taken away from its creator without consent in the 21 year history of WordPress.

The ACF team has been blocked from accessing WordPress dot org and are unable to release updates for the free version of ACF.
We have a solution to ensure users receive updates going forward.

Today is my last day at SpinupWP. Working with the team these last few years has been an absolute pleasure, and I'm sure they'll continue to crush it. What's next? I'll be tinkering with Laravel, Vue and Inertia until I find my next role. Exciting times!
