@DonMegaBets @AmicoHoops That’s true and I agree w/ your original point. On one hand, yes, Spurs got Wemby (and Duncan) No. 1. So lottery DOES matter. Still, Bucks got Giannis at 15, Warriors got Steph at 7 (Draymond 2nd rd, Klay at what, 11?) I know some of that’s dumb luck, but also good front office

@pfbuzz @AmicoHoops That’s the only problem I see really, they do hurt them more than usual. The draft is now a less viable way to acquire or accumulate talent.
Teams that are disadvantaged in other methods are now more disadvantaged overall as their best route has taken a hit.

@DonMegaBets @AmicoHoops No I agree about Memphis, etc. I’m just saying odds have ALWAYS been stacked against NBA’s small markets. And they sadly always will be. These lottery changes, to me, hurt them no more than usual. Because league office (or more so, sponsors) have always rooted against them.

Is it harder for small markets? Of course. Always has been. You think NBA has ever wanted Memphis in Finals? lol
