@NafdacAgency A professor that attaches her name here should be ashamed of herself. Tell the public how long bread should stay without getting bad. Why are bread not carrying expired date in Nigeria?
English

📢 NAFDAC has concluded investigations into public concerns regarding the extended shelf life of BON Bread and confirms that the manufacturer is in compliance with regulatory standards.
Laboratory analysis showed that approved preservatives were used within internationally accepted limits, while no objectionable substances, including bromate, were detected in the bread samples tested.
Read the full press release ⬇️ for details on the investigation and findings.

@NafdacAgency Anyone who relies on NAFDAC on his health in this country is a fool.
As someone whose wife sells bread, I can confidently tell you that most bread don't last more than 5 days now since the lady brought this to the public. Most bread usually stay a weak fresh before now.

@OurFavOnlineDoc How many people get 77,000 naira at the end of the month? Hmmmmm, most Nigerians are paid 30,000---------50, 000 naira monthly.
English

You can’t compare the cost of barbing your hair in uk with barbing your hair in Nigeria. For the simple reason that the minimum wage is not the same in both countries.
Minimum wage in Nigeria is 77,000 naira. That’s about £40. Minimum wage in UK is about £12.71 per hour.
So the person working in uk for 4hours will make MORE money than the person who works 30days in Nigeria- yet both of them are doing the same minimum wage work. So it’s only commonsense that countries where people earn more, basic things will cost more- compared to places where people earn peanuts.
This is why intelligent people compare cost of living relative to income in that country, not relative to cost in a lesser income country.
Sometimes I wonder why government officials deliberately mix sycophancy with insanity. Because there’s no way in the world that Reno Omokri doesn’t know this. He knows it but the evil darkness in his soul will make him deliberately say crap like this.
Big Sman.🍥@MR__Sulaiman1
In London, it costs £40 to get a shave, while a one-bedroom flat rents for £2,500 per month. By comparison, the cost of living in Nigeria is way better than in many parts of the world.👀 _____ Reno Omokri. 🗣️
English

@taadelodun Majority of the population still earn 30,000 naira monthly.
English

The people who tell you the price of things abroad, without talking about wages are your worst enemies.
You can be patriotic and still acknowledge the serious problems we have in Nigeria.
Unemployment and underemployment is at its peak.
A lot of people are contract staff with no rights (look at most Banks)
Millions dont get paid on time.
Why is food still expensive when God bless us with so much arable land?
These are things people in the House of Reps and Senate should be fighting for our people!
For Nigeria to succeed we have to acknowledge our problems, not gaslight people who have been suffering and smiling!

PRESS RELEASE
OYO STATE POLICE COMMAND
2ND MAY, 2026
RE: LONE MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT AND PUBLIC REACTION IN ISEYIN
The Oyo State Police Command wishes to inform the general public of a lone fatal motorcycle accident that occurred in Iseyin in the early hours of today, May 2, 2026.
At about 5:30 a.m., a motorcycle rider, Umar Yahúza (male, 25) of Oluwole, Old Kara area, Iseyin, was involved in a lone accident which occurred at a police Border Patrol checkpoint located at Niko along the Iseyin/Oyo Road. He was promptly rescued and taken to Fadok Hospital, Iseyin, for medical attention.
Sadly, at about 7:30 a.m., the Command received information confirming that the victim succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident.
Following the incident, a group of commercial motorcycle riders gathered in front of Fadok Hospital in a peaceful protest, alleging that personnel of the Border Patrol Unit stationed at the checkpoint were responsible for the incident.
In response, senior officers of the Command, in collaboration with the Seriki of the Hausa/Fulani community, engaged the protesters and assured them of a thorough and discreet investigation. The Command also reaffirmed that any officer found culpable will be appropriately sanctioned in accordance with the law.
The two officers involved—an Assistant Superintendent of Police and an Inspector attached to the Border Patrol Unit—have been detained pending the outcome of the investigation.
The scene of the accident was visited by investigators, where photographs were taken and a sketch map drawn to aid further inquiry.
Upon request, the corpse was released to the Seriki of the Hausa community for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.
The situation has since been brought under control, and normalcy has been fully restored in the area. The case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for detailed investigation as directed.
The Commissioner of Police assures the public of the Command’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and justice, and urges continued calm as investigations progress.

@kunle_pata Hello @PoliceNG @PSCNigeria what are you going to do about educating your people why engine number is not relevant?
English

I just left the police checkpoint at Otedola after they delayed me for almost 2 hours. First, they asked me to open my boot, I did, nothing incriminating. Then they checked my license and documents…all complete. Next thing, they told me to pop the bonnet and suddenly claimed my engine number didn’t match what’s on my papers.
In my mind, I was wondering when exactly did I changed my engine without knowing? and they said I’d have to follow them to the station. I said no problem, let’s go. Next thing, they’re calling another officer on me.
Honestly, I hate starting my day with this kind of energy.
