stop the presses. you can insert an emoji in a google doc by typing a colon, just like Slack.

ReTwit / developers what do we call these on site mock ups? Is the purpose simply to explore materials and construction?

@stripesupport I know- but I have a bunch of Stripe accounts I can't combine- and this is not good enough. Let me export that exact list via API- I don't care if it's pretty.

At Stripe we care about being meticulous in our craft. Sometimes that means putting effort into getting the small things right. Little details compound into end to end experiences that are surprisingly great. We shipped 100s of tiny tweaks last year. Some of my favorites 🧵

@dps @stripe I was shocked recently to find there is no way to list users of Stripe accounts by API. As our use of Stripe grows, this makes securing the accounts and compliance reporting increasingly difficult- all I want is a list of users- super easy!!

Sweating the details is in @stripe’s DNA. We want to make sure we’re prioritizing what you need. What should we build next?

What is phishing? 🎣 Phishing is a type of scam that involves tricking people into giving away sensitive information. Be a healthy skeptic, scrutinize unsolicited contact, and ignore suspicious emails. What’s your top advice for staying safe against phishing scams?

Ok, Twitter - help me out here! At almost every commercial construction site there's a mockup wall that shows how the various structural & decorative elements relate to each other. Is there an official name for this? Here's a simple one that I saw today:

@energysmartwv @scottwahlstrom @lizadams44 I have an accurate co2 meter and with 2 adults and 2 dogs our living space typically runs 1500ppm to 3500(!!) ppm- it is interesting how having measurements makes you try and justify the observations- I have yet to understand why my numbers run so high just from respiration

@scottwahlstrom @lizadams44 I think you're good! Those get forgotten pretty often, so I always check. =) We don't have EVs yet, but no attached garage except where one car spends the winter with the battery cable detached.

@kodi @anildash Screen Sharing is a great option - but is there a way to login without typing the password? Apple prohibits pasting the login password from a password manager 🤯

@anildash Most of the time when I've thought about investing in a solution for this, I've just used Screen Sharing instead. Obviously there are some great solutions in the replies, just wanted to plug that there's an easily available solution that *might* be enough for some people.

@devonzuegel I think it's from too many years writing software- I will sometimes slack something between devices and copy and paste twice

my toxic trait is that I refuse to type anything that I can copy-paste on principle, even if it actually takes longer to find it or get the bluetooth transfer the clipboard contents between devices

@g3rv4 @1Password There are so many aspects of the managed 1Password accounts that provide more security in the real world - not having to ever keep another copy of anything sensitive because of durable cloud storage and the ability to securely recover accounts are two big ones

I was stubbornly against using @1Password's account, I wanted my standalone vaults But then I read their white paper explaining how they use the secret key as an additional source of entropy that's stored on the devices and loved it I'm a convert, happy with my family account

Contrary to false reports, there was no broad #AWS service issue this week. Downdetector is now saying “we do not believe there was a widespread service issue on AWS’s platform.” I recommend the AWS Dashboards (PHD then SHD) as the most reliable sources of AWS info.

The other day, the aircraft noise didn't sound normal. I went outside to see 2 osprey tilt rotor aircraft going by. Not that the cell phone camera was really up to the task.
