@TetZoo As there have been approximately 300 superhero movies released since the last podcats, can we expect an in depth review from @thejohnconway ?

The rumours are true --- recent excavations in the vicinity of John’s hard disk have yielded a fossilised podcast from the Late 2021 period. Enjoy the retro stylings! tetzoo.com/podcast/2022/7…

Your reminder that British big cats are a genuine thing, that there are naturalised leopards, pumas AND lynx here, and that good data supporting their reality exists. Much of it remains unpublished and efforts are _still_ underway to get it into the technical literature.

This was the most wonderful, stimulating workshop to have taken part in. Take a read and broaden your knowledge of how humans and elephants have interacted for a VERY long time. drive.google.com/file/d/1sKcX78…

Our study on palaeoecology and phylogeography of woolly rhino is out in QSR. The study presents the first C and N stable isotope records of the 15,000 years preceding woolly rhino extinction.

@SiobhanLeachman Hmmm managed to track down a Mrs George Graham but she died in 1916, which seems a bit early ...

The frustration of trying to track some of these folk down! How I WISH full names had been provided. Also, I know a Rachel Wastney from Nelson ... wondering if the Mr Wastney is a relation. biodiversitylibrary.org/page/60406113

@SiobhanLeachman D. Mackenzie is mentioned again later in the same document as Donald McKenzie (not sure which spelling is correct)

Just in case folk ask, so far I've confirmed Captain Bollins, R. E. Clouston (though not his full name), F. V. Knapp and Miss M. K. Mestayer.

In other news, an opossum was hit on the road outside the reserve this morning. And...well.... I learned something. 👀

One of our local resident birds, anyone want to guess leucistic heron or great egret? Best we could do with the phone camera...
