@footballzebras Just watched one of the worst pass interference calls of all time. Worst officiating in professional sports, and it’s not even close.

This technique, called "shaving", where the motion man takes a step or two forward prior to the snap, was brought to the attention of teams by Walt Anderson that this is an illegal motion penalty. Called twice tonight.

@footballzebras If you make officials full-time employees, you don’t have to shrink the talent pool. You hire a wave of new, younger, full-time officials and pay them well. Watch how the calls improve.

Full-time officials make full-time mistakes. This wasn't a case of officials not knowing the rule, they did not have a foul from their angle. Further, these officials put in full-time hours for the NFL. And, if you unnecessarily shrink the talent pool, officiating gets worse

Not facemask, but that pull is at the helmet opening, which is under the same rule. Just what Terry said, you want them to keep that flag down. Open hand on the helmet is legal, but they obviously didn't see the grip and pull of the bottom of the helmet

@footballzebras Officials who are trained all-year-round are far less likely to make the kind of mistakes these guys do during a game. In addition, they need to be in position to make these calls. If it means adding more officials, then so be it. So many bad calls every game.

@NFL your league continues to have the worst officiating in professional sports. It is a shame that the billionaires of the league cannot afford to have all full-time officials. What an embarrassment. So many missed calls deciding so many games. It’s laughable. How pathetic.
