@cgillum I agree. Verifying logging has shown up edge case and integration bugs in tests for me.

When building a component that emits logs, write unit and/or integration tests to validate those logs. Logs should be treated like part your public API contract. Traces too! You’ll also be pleasantly surprised by the kinds of non-logging bugs you can find when doing this. 👀
