There is no D/N/R service in parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Expect major delays on D/F M/N/Q/R trains. Take alternate subway/bus lines. What's Happening? There is a major disruption to service while NYPD responds to an incident at 36 St. Read the thread for more details 👇

@MTA How long does it take to get someone off the tracks/restore service? 2.5 hours is insane for there to still be delays impacting service And please stop giving us the tired excuse of "staffing shortages."

Hey @MTA I've been on the platform for 20 min already. I arrived as a Ditmars bound N was leaving the station. So you're telling me that it's a 43 minute wait? You keep moving the Manhattan bound train times later. It was supposed to arrive at 1:33. At 1:40 it's still not here.

@NYCTSubway Why has the 7 train not moved? At 34th St and have been sitting here for 20 minutes and the announcer keeps saying that the 7 is running as a shuttle, but we haven't budged an inch. I left work at 4pm and am exhausted. Get this shit moving

For service between Queens and Manhattan, take an N train at Times Sq-42 St and transfer to the 7 train at Queensboro Plaza.

There is no 7 train service between Manhattan and Queens while we work to correct signal problems at Grand Central-42 St. 34 St-bound 7 trains will end at Hunters Point Av. Flushing-bound 7 trains will end at 5 Av.

Those "long-term residents" who hate everyone who's moved here in the past 15 years -- to a city with a relatively flat population (so, all of us "gentrifiers" replaced somebody who left long before we arrived). my neighborhood is 60+ percent white with a median income 20k+ higher than mine and its right wing italian and irish residents with $1mil+ houses and multiple cars (in bk) have called me a gentrifier. that should tell you how useful the tenant-as-gentrifier focus is lol.

@travis_robert I practically grew up in Cayucos at my Nonna's. My dad has a home in Los Osos, and my sister went to Cal Poly - so Im biased. I find that there's more to enjoy there in quiet than in SB, which I've always felt needed the tourism more to survive than SLO

@Andres4NY It's on brand. The NYPD refused to do their jobs (good, bad, or otherwise) after last summer's protests and demands of defending them. They then didn't lose funding, but used accounting techniques to make it appear as if they did so that they could whine to the media. Fuck them.

@printtemps I'm not old enough to have been in HS in the 80s, but I remember my pre-school teacher, "Ms Tammy" being in a fatal crash one morning en route to work; she was ejected through the windshield. We passed that location every morning to get to school. 35 yrs later, still in my head.
