Not a “terrible start”, a predictable one. New ideas require imagination and pushback from those entrenched old ideas and lucrative business ventures is expected/ inevitable..we expect the same when Kairos and new VEROnica AI software to determine mental capacity is trialled there

@philipnitschke I thought you were a fan of Swiss laws. Either way, it's a terrible start for your machine and I can't help but think the woman in question would have been far better off visiting Dignitas or Pegasos than stepping into your contraption.

The use of pentobarb in executions has led to claims of ‘drowning’ flash pulmonary oedema, and nitrogen executions as precipitating tortuous air hunger and convulsions..neither seen in assisted suicide theconversation.com/silent-but-not…

@philipnitschke As a doctor I know of no robust evidence that tells me the correct drugs to use, the complications of those drugs, or that it provides a more comfortable death than natural dying. It is not even clear that it improves bereavement. Perhaps evidence based medicine is over-rated.
