I spoke to the CBC yesterday about the recent report that correlates higher levels of privatization with worse patient outcomes.
It misses the point completely.
In complex systems, correlation is rarely causation. Most of the top Scandinavian systems have blended private delivery of publicly paid services like Ontario.
What Canada suffers from above all else is a lack of access to care. Private delivery of care is part of the solution.
