"What does a career in football coaching actually cost to start?" £160. That's the price of the FA Introduction to Coaching, First Aid, and Safeguarding qualifications, the minimum requirements for employment at Reading FC Community Trust. Phil Stafford who last ran a half marathon PB of 1:57:40 at Wokingham, and last year completed the Thames Pathway Ultra Marathon has been with the Trust for 10 years. Teacher. Coach. Someone who has quietly supported hundreds of young people into sport. He's fundraising so that a young person who can't afford £160 doesn't have to miss their chance. The target is £200. That covers the course and the marathon entry that made this fundraiser possible. Anything above £200 doesn't disappear. It funds the next young person through the same pathway. One donation.
