@TimyanBankAlert @dirtcheapbanks My pal went to the $TCNB annual after Michael Perry gave himself all those options. Perry threatened him into not bringing it up to the board. Many Illinois bankers have had that “3 for me, 1 for thee” mentality. $BFIN $IROQ etc.

@dirtcheapbanks After $TCNB management ran the stock down from $11 to $3 via poor performance, they gave themselves options to buy the better part of that 30% stake.

Management owns 30% of $TCNB and they're still buying shares at these prices. Either they know something about this $179M Illinois bank trading at 0.66x book, or they're throwing good money after bad at 8.7x earnings.

$SRNN is a $125M asset bank in Alabama trading at 52 cents on tangible book. Market cap of $8.7M means this thing could fit in a decent suburban house budget. Something is very wrong.

One especially galling aspect of the Morgan Stanley 23A exemption: the Fed *still* has not gotten around to codifying Dodd-Frank's 23A reforms. It's been 15 years! New rule: No more 23A exemptions until the Fed updates Regulation W.
