David Wells paid a $2500 fine for wearing Babe Ruth’s game worn Yankee baseball cap. He bought the cap for $35K. Asked to wear it in a game, was told “No” and did it anyway. Wells paid the fine in singles, then sold the hat 13 years later at auction for $535K.

So should we all be buying the rate resets from the 2021 - 2023 preferred issuances? A lot of banks issued during then on a five-year reset. Some of these resets are gnarly at 3-4+% plus SOFR For some securities, this is already priced in but maybe not all $WAL.PRA appears priced for reset/redemption for instance Definitely on the lookout for any that don’t appear to be priced in with resets or floating rates coming
