David Wells paid a $2500 fine for wearing Babe Ruth’s game worn Yankee baseball cap. He bought the cap for $35K. Asked to wear it in a game, was told “No” and did it anyway. Wells paid the fine in singles, then sold the hat 13 years later at auction for $535K.

So should we all be buying the rate resets from the 2021 - 2023 preferred issuances?
A lot of banks issued during then on a five-year reset. Some of these resets are gnarly at 3-4+% plus SOFR
For some securities, this is already priced in but maybe not all
$WAL.PRA appears priced for reset/redemption for instance
Definitely on the lookout for any that don’t appear to be priced in with resets or floating rates coming

Depends on what you mean by apathetic. Didnt follow that closely but if Seidman had not been involved all other shareholders would be toast. A real toast to “the Godfather”!! God Bless Larry.

I’d bet they’d take on all comers at $10 if anyone wants to get serious. I’ll stick with more profitable ones like Marathon run by folks with real plans.
