Today is the launch of #BridgeAI which for me is the culmination of a long journey I have been involved in since 2017 making the case for an AI adoption programme in the UK - focused on helping AI #startups focus on sectors that help grow our economy. 🧵

We were pleased to welcome @FeryalClark MP, Minister for AI and Digital Government, at Digital Catapult to demonstrate how we support deep tech startups to grow in the UK, across AI, cyber security and security for digital infrastructure. Our work in accelerating the digital future would not be possible without our programme alumni who also joined us on the day: @vishalkumar from @thealicecamera, Adam Finney from 3bian, Richard Gonzalez from Sensor IT, Phil Day from @ConfThings and Gameli Ladzekpo from Flossy AI. Over the past decade, we have enabled deep tech companies to scale faster, advanced data driven and open future networks and more: 🚀 We worked with over 3000 companies, including supporting over 250 deep tech startups. 💰 We supported them to raise over £555 million of investment since 2018. 📡 We provided over 45 deep tech companies to access our advanced connectivity testbeds, helping them to attract over £66 million of investment. We designed a national programme to increase # of AI solutions in key markets like #transport #construction #creativeindustries #agriculture built responsibly, with the end user in mind. Supporting those sectors in the foundations needed to bring them value through AI.

Need to create an ecosystem that takes the Metaverse beyond silos to be healthy and sustainable. This means better interoperability, better representation and diversity - making sure avatars are real representations for the real people who use it. @taimoorhusain @Microsoft

Making experiences accessible for consumers is key - there is a half way house where we render the Metaverse in 3D but interact with it in 2D for now. A first step to help people understand the value of bringing digital and physical together @RonnieVasishta @nvidia #digitaltwins
