@campbellclaret Well aren’t you just completely predictable. The whole country, no matter how the individuals vote is sick of the positioning and media reporting antics in Westminster. This is a clam, conciliatory, moderate approach to try to fix an extreme, once in a lifetime, challenge.

What a complete shambles the @parcelforce system is. Waited in for 3 days to accept a delivery that was due on Wednesday. Even customer services can’t do anything to help other than wait for the tracking system to update. In same time we had deliveries from 3 other companies

Four weeks ago today my heart & lungs were bypassed for 4hrs & a piece of my heart was cut out & replaced. We’re so fortunate what can be achieved medically nowadays & it’s unbelievable what your body can take. Here’s to talented surgeons & long, Rosé-aided lunches in the sun 😎

Been sitting on the hard shoulder waiting for #rac recovery for 5 hours so far. Still not got a time from them for anyone to attend. Quite disgraceful service

@joelycett I’m Canadian, hoping at some point to visit. I am concerned that I cannot fit in all I want to do if I have to take a turn as PM. Are there any exemptions that you know of, is there a course? I just don’t want to mess anything up?

Congratulations, Rishi Sunak, on becoming Prime Minister and making history as the first British Asian PM. The Tories have crashed the economy, with low wages, high prices and a cost of living crisis. The public needs a fresh start and a say on Britain’s future.

Tonight, I spoke to @10DowningStreet. A chance to congratulate the Prime Minister and discuss the importance of working together as four nations to address the urgent challenges we face as a United Kingdom.

Mmm. I’m beginning to think Sunak might be well out of his depth too. This is shaping up to be a good Cabinet reshuffle … for the Opposition. He had the chance to signal the competence, compassion and integrity he promised, which has been so absent in recent PMs. 1/3

@AlexReilley1 I have had 3 different conversations with operators on this. The first is seeing his utilities cost go from £3.5k a month to £11.7k. Another operator of a sawmill annual costs of £360k going to £940k. And a hotel in Cornwall going up by £900k a year. All 3 unsustainable

I’m not sure if there’s anyone bothering to govern the UK at the moment but if anyone is actually listening understand this. Commercial utility price hikes are going to decimate hospitality & devastate our High Streets. NI & corp tax cuts will make absolutely no difference…

@kewdad @Fullers Good that everyone is safe. Dreadful news for the team but I am sure you will all bounce back.

Pretty brutal chemo 7th session today, with the heat in the room and me just being in an agitated state. NHS staff were brilliant as always. Back down in NewBrighton at work

@RWTaylors Quite incredible how stupid our politicians are at times. Probably thinking about stricter measures for us all over Xmas and can’t resist doing what he thinks is a good PR stunt for equality. Idiot.

@UKHospKate It would almost be funny if it wasn’t so predictable. Drakeford once again demonstrating and absolute arrogance towards business and employers. The scare mongering has already impacted on trade and the threat of further restrictions again will see thousands of jobs in Wales lost

This would be catastrophic for hospitality - with no furlough, grant or other support a combination of working from home and wider use of vaccine passports would see many businesses struggling to survive

“Covid passes may have to be introduced in hospitality… maybe we will have to do more working from home” First Minister of Wales Mark Drakeford tells #BBCBreakfast what specific Covid restrictions could return to curb rising infections ⤵️ bbc.in/2ZuaO1O

@UKHospKate Sadly I blame him for @brainsbrewery having to sell their pubs - he's got no consideration for business especially hospitality business
