This is my 2nd entry for the #RunwayBigPitchContest Two weeks of nonstop work and I’m still blown away by how real this character feels. The emotions, the expressions… it’s honestly next level. Big thanks to @runwayml for creating this contest and giving us all a chance to create something meaningful. Building a show with AI is way harder than short clips, but it’s so worth it. Appreciate all the feedback and kind words so far, they really help me improve. Many thanks and enjoy the journey!

Here’s my entry for #RunwayBigPitchContest I wanted to make a futuristic dystopian series, but not the polished neon version. I wanted grit, fear, real emotion. A future that felt lived in. This is "mei." A series about the most advanced AI model in a synthetic body that can dream, feel, and become something the company refuses to acknowledge: human. When her handler Ube sees the truth, she takes her and runs. Made in @runwayml

@kraqvoid Have you ever tried the storyboard with timecode? I need to control the prompt too because it helps camera movements better than only storyboard.

@phongorial Exactly — that's what I found too. The storyboard becomes the dominant reference and the text prompt plays a supporting role. Which means getting the storyboard right is more important than perfecting the text. Still figuring out the right balance.

A week ago, I knew nothing about AI video generation. Zero. Then I joined the Runway community — and made my first AI-generated video ever. Here's what hit me: As a storyteller, I used to build entire worlds with just words. Readers would imagine the sky, the light, the silence in their imagination - all from text alone. But prompting AI to generate visuals? That's a different craft.I had to learn camera angles. How to describe surreal scenes trapped inside my head so the AI could see what I see. Character design. Wardrobe. Props. Environment. Lighting. Mood. Basically — every skill an entire film crew carries, compressed into one person and one prompt.
