I cannot even begin to underline to you what a victory this is for @FishLegal_, @pickeringfish and ultimately every river in the country, just immense. The scandal is that they had to take this case at all and the 16 years the EA have wasted. I now look forward to discussing with @EnvAgencySE the exact detail of the plans they are now going to put in place to save the Upper Lea from extinction.

@HarryPeetTV @pickeringfish Massive congrats to @FishLegal_ @pickeringfish when I filmed at Costa beck what I witnessed & filmed underwater was truly appalling, despite being waste deep in sewage and silt , pleased to have supported this through my filming. Costa beck was the pinnacle of grayling fishing

We're back in the High Court with @pickeringfish on Monday for another showdown with @DefraGovUK and @EnvAgency. In November, we got a judgment that questioned the Government's entire approach to river basin management planning. Wonder if they'll try to appeal...

Tough guiding on a @WildTroutTrust Auction Day at Pickering Beck yesterday; low water & the chilly NW breeze killed off the expected Mayfly hatch with just a handful of duns & spinners late in the afternoon. Despite less than perfect conditions Richard managed to land 15 trout!

@WildTroutTrust Guiding a Wild Trout Trust Auction day on Pickering Beck yesterday. Despite limited fly life (the Mayfly is just about over) & few risers Bernard had a great day landing over 20 trout & a grayling, mainly on Caddis imitations. pickeringfishery.co.uk

Pickering beck is very low & clear but fishing v well. Fish rising to Dance flies & the first Mayflies. Use light lines, long leaders with size 18 & smaller flies unless the fish are really taking the big Mayflies. Fishing this afternoon was great. pickeringfishery.co.uk
