@ziggypalffy16 @stefen_rosner Watching Bridgeport he is a really good Ahl player, not exactly a true scorer but for a guy his size isn’t all that physical and he lacks a bit in skating. Probably going to be in Europe tbh as I’m his future. Foudy gets shot tonight, he can absolutely fly and is good PK.

@IslesCave I wouldn't give up a roster spot for Lee next season when there is a guy like Quinn Finley, or Jacob Kvasnicka, or Ekland looking to make the team. If you didn't care too much for him this season why would you want him next season, even at a discounted price?

@IslesDen Probably knows ownership will spend to the cap of 104 million next year. There are players he knows won’t fit what he wants to do and they will be jettisoned. It’s extremely positive he took job because there were going to be many jobs for him this summer and he still took it.

I’d do the Schenn move again, it brought a new confidence to Ritchie’s game.

Hope the #isles finish strong regardless of result. It is silly to focus on trade deadline when the problems existed long before then and no deadline acquisitions were going to be immediate fixes (outside a monster trade).

We should have had 2 first round draft picks (or 3 if Darche moved Pageau) and ample cap space and roster flexibility for major moves this summer.
Instead we have Palat, Schenn and Romy signed for eternity.

@WillChiarucci He will probably get at least one guy to waive, Duclair and or Mayfield might be those candidates. They have 14 mill in cap space as is right now. Probably want to give spot to Eklund so he will be cost efficient. They need another goalie and should spend for that.

@IslesFix Even if this happened it’s ok as long as Eklund, Eiserman and etc young guys aren’t blocked which they aren’t. They are not running it back totally though, one or two surprises I think will happen. Darche isn’t married to any of these guys.

I don’t see major changes happening. Darche’s reasoning for the Schenn trade was to be competitive during this “transitional” two-year period as some younger players get ready.

@WillChiarucci I think he cares and wants to win, I don’t think he knows how to do it. He is a really good secondary player, I think he’s also a better winger as him and Horvat are way better together than apart. I also think if you’re changing roster he could be a guy that’s moved as well.

@stefen_rosner It’s really time to make hard decisions on roster. There are a lot of good youth not even here yet beyond Schaefer. The PP has been issue and it’s really on the roster, Barzal and Horvat just aren’t consistent enough to make power play dangerous consistently.
