@wunderdarp @MariaMGillespie lol you’re really citing five dirty ass masks that were mailed to a lab by pissed off parents? Should have tested those kids’ shit-stained underwear, too.

It’s unacceptable to have another needless death in Minnesota, and it’s unacceptable to have elected officials, candidates, and administration officials continue to throw gas on this fire, or tacitly encourage assaults on law enforcement and anyone else. The situation is un-American and Secretary Noem needs to step down.

@LordYaoi @ScottPresler I don't even know what the heck you're talking about. I don't live in New York, am not wealthy, and decided to move to Pittsburgh because it's affordable and pretty and I vote Republican.

New Yorkers, I know this isn’t what you want to hear right now, but — to anyone considering moving — make Pennsylvania your home. This website will help you choose a strategic county in Pennsylvania that will both help us keep the House & flip the PA governorship from 🟦🔜🟥.

It's hard to take public health officials seriously when they talk about cracking down on vaccine misinfo when they themselves are spreading disinfo about Covid being a mild respiratory virus prevented by handwashing

I’ll never forgive schools and healthcare systems that squandered the time they had to change their infrastructure, policies, and best practices. Four years ago, I bought purifiers for my lab and wrote masking into our research protocols — only to be told I couldn’t require them later. Then came the kicker: “You can’t require N95s. If you do, OSHA would have to inspect and fit-test everyone.” So… protecting staff too well triggers regulation, but letting them breathe contaminated air doesn’t? We regulate the act of protection more than the act of exposure. Meanwhile, Canada and the UK are finally admitting SARS-CoV-2 is airborne and once again recommending PPE in healthcare settings. I may not study infectious disease, but I live in reality. In an airborne plague, I’ll keep holding a higher standard of human research ethics — because pretending it’s over is what’s unethical.

🚨🚨Well this is some scary AF! This lady was sitting peacefully at a town-hall in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho and after she spoke out these goons with no badges forcibly removed her. This is not America that we once knew, buckle up we are in for a long ride!

Last night I met up with my favorite English teacher, a lifelong friend who teaches both high school and college courses. In thirty-five years of teaching, she has never been more worried about her students.

On day five we fled. Picked up everything and ran. The storm had been, and gone. Things settled. Quiet. The nights perfect dark. No light for miles. No light. No heat. No water. No power. For five days then. 7 now. On day 4. We could see our breath in the bedrooms. The kitchen...

One of the best reads of the year from @MattMcGorry “The science is really clear getting Covid over & over again is not good for anyone. It feels like where the climate movement was 10 years ago, where scientists were saying things & people were not really listening.” #LongCovid

Biden administration had four years to upgrade indoor air quality, educate the public about CO2 levels, standardize HEPA filtration, normalize wearing masks. Instead they normalized COVID, allowed h5n1 to spread , and now they hand a loaded gun back to Trump

Just a reminder, N95s are a superior alternative to lockdowns Always have been Always will be Better socially & economically, 2-way N95s allow near normal activity with near perfect protection Used just in schools & hospitals, they could end the pandemic Just saying 😊
