Correct. The Iranians here in Norway most frequently align with the right politically. They are the first to call for deportation of refugees. Reza Shah aligned with Nazi Germany partly because they both claimed to be Aryans. Hitler's government classified Iranians as "pure-blooded Aryans" and exempted them from the Nuremberg racial laws. Germany shipped 7,500 books on racial science to Tehran. A Nazi-funded magazine ran in Tehran praising the Shah and Hitler side by side. Swastikas were painted on Jewish homes. His son gave himself the title "Light of the Aryans." They banned Kurdish, Azerbaijani, Arabic, and Balochi from schools, forced ethnic minorities to take Persian names, and built the whole national story around one idea: Persians are racially superior and everything wrong with Iran is because Arabs brought Islam. That never faced a reckoning. No de-Nazification. This mindset runs deep in Persian nationalist circles and in the diaspora it's not even hidden, it's the default. Arabs are called slurs, Iran's problems still get blamed on "Arab invasion," and Islam is framed as something a lesser race inflicted on Persians. And these are the people who claim to speak for 90 million Iranians 40-50% of whom are ethnic minorities. Kurds, Azeris, Arabs, Baloch. The same people this ideology was built to erase.
