@pipe_wench @GoodGuyGuaranty “Funded by taxpayers through legislation passed by the city council on [date]…” would be way more accurate and less offensive than saying those politicians funded it, and would help ensure the public knew how it actually happens. They needed way more than 3 votes to get it done

Absolute bonehead take. It’s neither undignified nor embarrassing for a politician to take pride in providing for constituents. taxes pay for stuff, and executors of those funds should have their names on stuff.
Repositioning Play@GoodGuyGuaranty

This shit is so embarrassing. No, the project was not funded by @LincolnRestler, @ReynosoBrooklyn, or @NYCMayor. It was funded by taxpayers. This is thinly disguised campaign advertising and should be banned; at the very least, our politicians could have a little more dignity.

@GoodGuyGuaranty no no, it’s cool when politicians take credit for shit they do. they should actually do more of it so people know what they vote for. if someone fixes something, their name should be plastered all over it!!!

@pipe_wench I am all for politicians taking pride in service delivery. And fortunately, there are many ways to disseminate one's accomplishments to constituents without leveraging city agencies for in-kind campaign donations.

@Needle_of_Arya brother how many white working class people do you spend your days with that you feel so comfortable making such sweeping generalizations? Don’t really feel like hearing about shit from someone who’s location is “occupied nation”…

@pipe_wench Rogan listeners are not particularly representative of the entire white working class. Listeners are from a variety of social classes among white people and not one section.

@jongeeting His is correct. We need industry *here*. His argument is also that they need to be paired with mass public investment, which is very good and also true.
