I love seeing more and more designers venturing into all sorts of dev and coding related tools.
Truly the best use of design skills now is to teach others how to design better

Six months ago, I started building Rams as one of the first design skills (77k+ installs) for coding agents. Today, I’m launching the biggest update yet: Rams MCP. The full Rams engine now runs inside your agent: 194 design rules, 8 categories, real 0–100 scores, file:line findings, and fixes before commit.

All of my friends and colleagues don't believe me when I say I work faster with a trackpad than a mouse

If you use a trackpad who hurt you

Officially retiring the "uiux" prefix.
Decided to switch to my last name.
Why?
For anyone who's followed me for a while or know me personally, this probably feels obvious. I've never been someone who could stay in one lane. My work, and honestly my whole life, was never just about design.
Growing up, I had a genuinely hard time combining everything I was really passionate about: business, coding (or just generally speaking tech), building things, art, creativity...
ui/ux or product design was the one thing that let me touch all of it at once, which is exactly why I built my identity around it in the first place.
But the older I get, the more I understand that tying my entire online persona to the "uiux" turned out to be way more limiting than I wanted.
Am I leaving design?
No.
I just don't want to second guess myself anymore when I talk about stuff outside of design, like I need permission because I was "uiuxphil," so obviously I'm only allowed to talk about ui and ux.
ui/ux design was definitely a great introduction to the world of tech and online business, I met a lot of amazing people and made friends with a lot of inspiring people
But going forward, I want to be associated with my last name more than just ui/ux or just design, that's all.

@DanielWhit21874 not saying your sound design skills are bad, it's just annoying to have a sound on every interaction
English

@DanielWhit21874 That is probably the most annoying thing you can do to your ui

You guys need to stop it with the dumb Fable takes.
I’m Anthropic’s #1 hater. The model is good.
Your bs is distracting from the actual things Anthropic does wrong.

@benjitaylor Where did the purple come from? Wonder how it looks with a grayscale
English

@marckohlbrugge @openclaw Agree, but it's really hard to find someone who's a good designer and is comfortable enough with coding in swift, kotlin and javascript
(and trust me vibe coding is only going to make things a lot worse)
English

a lot of people critique @openclaw's app design
some people design mock-ups which is great, but becomes just another todo for the maintainers
imho if you truly want to make a difference, you make an actual Pull Request to get your design merged into the app
quickest way to demonstrate your skillset, get hired by @OpenAI, and probably make a shitload of money

Hey Openclaw, I want to be your design partner.

@smakosh not saying your product is that, just pointing the difference in copywriting
English

@smakosh Yeah the algo seems to reward the low-quality, brain-rot and low IQ content more than anything
