Sold out with James McMurtry this afternoon in the Galleywinter Listening Room. Quiet when it mattered, loud when it counted. Blistering guitar, unreal 12-string. “Hope y’all have me back.” Anytime.

@TMSuccessful @boneheadtruckrs Very sad. I had met the trooper this past winter, and he even had a couple of beers with my wife and I at a function. He was a weights and measures officer. He knew his stuff when it came to regulations. I know he left behind a wife and two children. RIP🙏🙏

On Wednesday, there was an OK crash where 3 people were killed: an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper, the driver of the other vehicle and a 4 year old child. Not a semi truck crash, but a semi truck may have been involved none the less. The driver of the vehicle was said to have swerved while trying to avoid an object "lost" by a CMV on the roadway, lost control, and hit the trooper's car. Sadly, fatal crashes happen more often than not. But this one could have been prevented. I am assuming that this was a flatbed carrier who either did not secure the load properly, or failed to check it on a constant basis to ensure nothing came loose. "Troopers are asking for public help in locating the commercial vehicle that lost the object on I-35. Anyone with information is asked to call OHP Communications at 405-425-2323."

Only because they’ve done less, with more, for decades.

NEW: Mike Elko tells @Clowfb Texas A&M is changing the national narrative after a "critical" last season: "We're starting to move the needle. In the past, if you read anything about us, it felt very negative at times and probably rightfully so. Nobody around here wants to hear that." Exclusive: on3.com/news/coming-of…
