The cuts bring total job losses to 169 at the pizza crust plant. The facility is closing as part of cost-control initiatives. bizjournals.com/stlouis/news/2…
@stlouisbiz Huh? Most inexpensive $ per sqft in the nation are city center St. Louis. Maybe homebuyers shouldn’t continue to expect stand alone McMansions.
The initiative is supported through a partnership between the St. Louis Police Foundation and its donors. The program is part of a growing regional effort among public safety agencies to utilize drone technology to improve emergency response, strengthen coordination, and enhance preparedness across the St. Louis region.
The proposed technology is non-weaponized and would operate within strict public safety, legal, and transparency guidelines.

Yes allowing. They never made your argument of “catastrophically understaffed”
That’s the argument they’ve made at our town halls between 2020-2025. They continue to argue that they can appease or otherwise convince a few hundred belligerents from killing each other by endangering 275k people.
The @SLMPD Police Board needs to do a better job explaining its goals to the public.
All we see now is a series of public arguments over police funding. Instead, we need a clear understanding of the board’s strategy to improve public safety, so STL city can start growing again.
@stlouisbiz Why not a “trade-off” of buying an inexpensive condo in the downtown west neighborhoods of St. Louis?
Most come with parking, near services & transit, & are priced below $150 per square foot.
@GaryBess12@stlouisbiz Plenty of nice move-in ready homes available in the 14th Ward. Lowest prices in the nation & near services & transit. Building new homes to a population footprint of 700k, when there’s a glut of nice homes within the 275k footprint doesn’t seem to be the best use of limited $
@stlouisbiz St Louis has a rare opportunity to revitalize North St Louis by providing new affordable homes and apartments instead of throwing money at old structures in decay and costly to maintain. Get rid of the antiquated housing and get a new start
The June 9 sale includes homes, vacant lots and apartment buildings across the city. Properties that fail to sell go to the Land Reutilization Authority. bizjournals.com/stlouis/news/2…
Forty people were shot in Chicago over the weekend and a teenager hit five cops with his car. This is all a choice from the idiot mayor and idiot governor. Let President Trump end the violence. Chicago deserves much better.
@KMOV St. Louis city hall has supported outside violators & criminals over its own neighborhoods ever since I’ve lived there. -Whether they’re from another municipality (mostly coming into downtown) or from another country into a neighborhood in this case. It’s a cultural derangement.
@pjw139@MarkMaxwellTV With so many vacant houses in the North District, it might be more realistic to renovate and sell them than to build new ones on a large scale.
Missouri committed $186M for North St. Louis tornado recovery. Total damage: $1.6B. Total committed resources: $370M. The gap is enormous. Federal rebuilding money doesn't exist yet for this tornado. The city started pushing Congress for it in February.
One problem is that politicians & their media allies don’t even consider this & other harmful & dangerous mischief a crime anymore. They only count a very narrow category of “violent crime” as crime.

They don’t care that citizens don’t want to live like this….
Counted at least 7 cars clouted in 5500 block of Pershing in DeBaliviere Place this AM.
Crime & antisocial behavior in St. Louis City probably costs us hundreds of millions each year due to lost businesses, residents & taxes. Like losing all our Rams money every damn year.
Everyone asks what the city does with its Rams settlement money.
Alderman Cohn asked: what about the county?
So we asked the county councilman who spent $500K of that money on a failed ballot campaign born of a political grudge.
Tug of war over St. Louis' $230 million in NFL settlement money:
Downtown says: our 4% of land equals 20% of the city's tax base. That money funds YOUR neighborhood too.
North City says: you already have state cash & private matching funds coming. We have people in tents.
🚨CAPTURED: This is the 18-year-old thug that CPD says tried to kill 5 Chicago police officers—ramming them with his vehicle at a teen takeover on the West Side this Sunday.
He’s charged with attempt murder.
@ChicagosMayor says “he’s young sometimes they make silly decisions.”
@DineshDSouza It’s still going on at a reduced intensity by the so-called social justice warriors & their allies in US cities: Crashing, smashing, shooting at buildings, rampant theft, & threatening & endangering pedestrians. #Defunders#Decarcerators#RootCausers.
Sunny Hostin now claims there was “very limited destruction of property and violence during the BLM uprising.” Tell that to the billions of dollars in property damage and murders, Sunny.
@stlouisbiz If the city was serious about providing displaced people with housing, they would acquire nearby move-in ready properties. The 14th Ward (Downtown West); - lowest prices in the nation, - comes with parking, near services & transit.
Officials want to spend $70 million on housing in an area already plagued by empty lots and crumbling structures. The city has a track record of slow administration and corruption. How exactly will the tornado relief funds be spent? bizjournals.com/stlouis/news/2…
