Arsenal spent around £270m on new signings last summer, without making any major sales. They cannot simply repeat that approach this year - the departure of at least one high-value first-team player is necessary if Arsenal wish to invest meaningfully again. Ethan Nwaneri & Myles Lewis-Skelly are candidates for sale & would represent ‘pure profit’. Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus & Ben White are also potential departures, while there is simmering uncertainty over the future of Martin Ødegaard. [@SamJDean]
