so my game launched with ~30k wishlists and sold 45k in its first month, having a 150% conversion rate which is crazy
what is more intriguing to me is the fact that wishlists skyrocketed and are now almost at 80k

The Will Stancil Show was simply becoming too beautiful and too powerful for this world.. The show will persist regardless using other models, but I have yet to see any match the artfulness and sophistication of Sora2 when it comes to 2D animation.

Sora is being discontinued. There were rumors, but I assumed this was going to be limited to the app. Looks like this is comprehensive however, even the API. This is sad to see for me personally.

I’m a huge fan of signull but he’s wrong on this. Apps are by far the #1 way couples meet: the data is overwhelming.
NO ONE has proposed a viable product/business model that would dethrone dating apps. And I doubt it will ever happen.

as soon as you internalize that hinge is way way closer to something like insta than it is to meetup the more you’ll understand why the outcomes are the way they are. i.e. profiles are actually posts. likes are engagement. the algorithm rewards what gets attention, not what produces an irl meetup.. those incentives only accidentally overlap which is why you get casino type odds. all of this roughly results in the same dynamics as insta where women optimize for follower brained validation loops, men optimize for volume cuz conversion rates are brutal, & the “relationship” framing is mostly just positioning (basically tinder = onlyfans, hinge = insta, bumble = linkedin). an actual meetup model would imply shared activity filtering, revealed preferences, & embodied social context. none of that exists on hinge. what exists is parasocial-ish asymmetry, some status theater, & engagement maximization dressed up as compatibility search. these entities no longer really function for what they were initially designed to do because the macro & micro environments changed drastically around them. sorta like if the water was no longer in the venice canals.

Not a single thing in Saint of Chains is AI. Not models, code, rig, texturing, animation, level design, voices - nothing.
Real VAs, real art, 2 devs working for 18 - 20 hours a day for months now.

@torontomusicguy @romainrevert Artists may be less valuable, but the art which consumers get to consume will be way cheaper and more abundant. The market for art doesn't exist to give people jobs, it exists because art is valuable to consumers.

@JustabitSab @romainrevert The purpose of making art in a market is to provide its value to others in some way. Like a game needs nice looking graphics, or a movie needs characters. If AI can make that valuable art in a cheaper and more efficient way, then it's the better way to serve the consumers of it

@JustabitSab @romainrevert Not everyone cares about getting better at the grunt work of physically making art. That's like saying I need to care about the physical technique of oil painting, and all my art I made digitally doesn't matter because it's holding back my oil painting abilities
