Bummer, looks like Tesla found a battery cell defect (3rd party supplier) affecting a limited number of Power 2 units in Australia. Nearly all affected units in Australia have been discharged remotely, which renders them safe. Affected customers are being notified through the Tesla app. For scheduling replacements, Tesla or Certified Installers will reach out by email or phone. Every affected Powerwall 2 unit will be removed and replaced at no cost to customers.

You have to adjust the steering wheel on Model Y Standard yourself. No ambient lighting. "Closed" glass roof instead of Panoramic.

Obviously hoping this is Tesla launching FSD (supervised) in Australia. There is a chance it's the new Model YL and the wait for FSDs continues.

@AmberElectricAU And my battery was near empty going into the 5pm peak. Ended up with a daily cost of near $20 while it could've been closer to $8-10.

@AmberElectricAU think smartshift needs to be more aggressive with charging the battery even when price isn't at the "very cheap" bucket. Case in point: on July 15 when the wholesale price never went below 15c it refused to charge my battery

My prediction is FSD will go live in Australia by end of year and @Tesla will do a 1 month free trial for everyone like how they did with EAP a few years ago.

@RobGrieves Just wanna add that the cost should be reduced by a further $1500 once I stack the nsw vpp rebate. So $11,250. Repayment period is 3-4 yrs as I'm on @AmberElectricAU

@RobGrieves Literally me, I added 6.5kw panels and a pw2 for total of $12,750. New battery turns on on July 1. Can't wait!

Just did a thing. With $1,300 of WA state rebate and $4,700 from the federal government, it was too good to resist! Doubling our solar from 6.6kW to 13.3kW and adding a Powerwall 3. Total cost installed is $12,200 after rebates, which should pay itself off in less than 5 years 🤗
