#econclubchi Disappointing conversation content from Hon. @GinaRaimondo Commerce Secretary. Substance was absent. Stump speech unnecessary. I wanted to hear HOW the Dept will spend the money, not that it got it and what, in very general terms, it is planning on doing.

@RepMikeQuigley Nuclear Iran, its proxy wars, destabilizing the Middle East, sponsoring terrorism are all escalations. Stopping this regime by all necessary means (negotiation, show of strength, military intervention if necessary) is de-escalation. Time to return Iran to own borders.

This is a significant escalation of tensions with Iran which may trigger increased violence in an already volatile region. The administration owes it to country to offer a clear explanation for why this action was taken, under what legal authority and how they plan to deescalate.

@RepMikeQuigley Times had come to stop the barbarian. Qassim S. was one of them. He planned, orchestrated, and ordered the killings of many innocents, Iranians, Americans, Israelis and many others. Too bad his demise and death did not come sooner.
