BITTER TRUTH OF THE DAY. In a democracy, public participation is a charade often used by courts to strike out government policies they don’t like, or oppose a President they loathe. In reality, public participation is one more fraud of John Locke. It’s a fiction of democracy. That’s because public participation is so theoretically and empirically vacuous that it doesn’t tell you whether a particular policy is objectively good for a country. It only serves as a fig leaf for legitimacy by elites to justify what they want to do. At best, it may educate portions of the population, but since it’s not a plebiscite or even a scientific poll, it can’t be used as a measure of democratic legitimacy.

#BREAKING: BULGARIAN GOVERNMENT RESIGNS AMID MASS PROTESTS Bulgaria’s government has resigned following weeks of mass street protests over economic hardship and allegations of corruption. Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov announced the move at a tense press conference, minutes before parliament was due to hold a no‑confidence vote. The resignation comes after days of demonstrations across major cities, with citizens demanding accountability and reforms. Zhelyazkov said the decision was taken “to hear the voice of the people” and avoid further instability. The collapse of the government arrives just weeks before Bulgaria is scheduled to join the eurozone on January 1, raising questions about the country’s political and economic trajectory.
