President Trump's $1.776 billion settlement with the IRS is one of the single most corrupt acts in American history. They moved fast to avoid the scrutiny of the judicial process, and very likely violated the Constitution. This is an outrage.

@Polymarket I asked claude what day it was three times and it was wrong 3 times. Paid claude doesnt know what fucking day it is and it had 3 chances to get it right. the utility of ai in a normal environment is way overinflated by the companies trying to sell it.

A.I. is about to lead to massive unemployment among skilled, white collar workers (and many, entry-level service workers). I'm yet to see an explanation of how we, as a society, will deal with it, but NOW would be very good time to talk about it.

My fiancé told me he was going on a "off-the-grid" camping trip in the mountains with his brothers to unplug and destress before our wedding. He made a huge deal about packing sleeping bags and told me he wouldn't have any cell service for four days. The next afternoon, I went to use our shared iPad to look up a recipe and a notification popped up from his airline app: “Welcome to Las Vegas! Your reservation at the Omnia VIP Lounge is confirmed for 11:00 PM.” I didn't call him to scream. I packed my best dress, caught a flight to Vegas, and used my own savings to book a table directly across from his in the club. Around midnight, he walked in, completely dressed to the nines, flanked by his brothers and three women I’d never seen before. When the bottle service arrived at his table with giant sparkling sparklers, I caught his eye from across the VIP section and raised my glass. The look of pure terror on his face was worth every penny of the flight. I walked over, slipped my engagement ring directly into his glass of champagne, and whispered over the music, “Hope the camping trip was worth the deposit on the venue, babe. It’s non-refundable.” I walked out and spent the rest of the weekend at the blackjack tables.

Fetterman: I think the reflecting pool and the ballroom are entirely appropriate. America is turning 50 years old. Why would we want to make sure everything looking great. We need a ballroom.

@allenanalysis So what! At least his FBI is making arrests and stopping fraud. Since he is in charge he makes decisions for other subordinates to carry out, then he can take a break.

🇺🇸NEWS: FBI Director Kash Patel used a government Gulfstream V to fly his country singer girlfriend to a George Strait concert. He watched the show from a luxury suite reported at $35,000 to $50,000. Then he flew her home on the same FBI jet. Same week: a “VIP snorkel” at the underwater tomb of 900 sailors and Marines at Pearl Harbor. The pattern from the same NYT investigation is now public. Four SWAT agents and two SUVs guarding his girlfriend in Nashville. The detail estimated at $1 million a year. SWAT escorts to a hair appointment. An FBI official suggested a threat assessment to determine if any of it was justified. Patel berated him. A New York Times reporter wrote about the SWAT detail. The FBI opened an investigation into the reporter. The DOJ shut it down and called it retaliation. What is the FBI for when the FBI Director uses it as a personal concierge service and turns it on the people who notice?

after 3 years unemployed, my friend finally got a job offer today. all he did was politely ask if there was room for a slightly higher salary to match market pay. they RESCINDED the entire offer. job market is actually insane right now.

A while back, my ex-husband needed someone to drive him home after a colonoscopy because of the anesthesia. Somehow, despite the divorce and all our history, I ended up being the chosen chauffeur. Y’ALL!!! So there I was, sitting in the waiting room surrounded by concerned wives, husbands, and family members while this man was in the back preparing for one of the most humbling procedures known to mankind. At one point, another woman sitting nearby smiled at me and asked, “Waiting for your husband?” And I don’t know what came over me, but I laughed and…..
