We are excited to present a working Bitcoin-IPC tokenomics MVP! youtube.com/watch?v=UngzD2… Main principles are straightforward: 1) Bitcoin-IPC will reward staking BTC to any subnet, as well as cross-subnet users. Reward token is deflationary, and denoted as IPC-BTC in the presentation/demo. 2) This implies Bitcoin-IPC adopters/validators can earn IPC-BTC while staking L1 BTC in a self-custodial way. 3) We envision 42M IPC-BTC, with halving schedules mimicking that of BTC. 4) We envision fair launch, with no premine (reserved IPC-BTC for the team, investors, etc.), with a nod to Satoshi's principles, respecting Bitcoin ethos. 5) In the beginning as well as in this demo, IPC-BTC is issued on a specific Bitcoin-IPC subnet called the Emission Subnet, yet (again) available to stakers and users of any Bitcoin-IPC subnet Enjoy the demo, comment, discuss and follow us.

Yo @beffjezos @VitalikButerin - glad you’re doing this Some fodder for your debate In my view, the core disagreements between e/acc and d/acc are about *how* to ensure long-term evolutionary progress. There’s lots of alignment / agreement in: - authoritarian controls inhibit progress of intelligence and life (potentially getting stuck) - broad evolution of free energy dissipators aligned with long-term progress (extropian view) - not biased to bio/human substrate (substrate independence, digital evolution, etc) - strongly against authoritarian, genocidal, myopic dead-ends But IMV, the crux of the disagreements come from: - whether just yoloing into accelerating anything and everything (path of least resistance style) is more robust or produce accidental mass extinction setbacks - whether differentially accelerating defensive tech (to protect the wide evolutionary base of intelligence / free energy dissipators/capturers) yields better likelihoods of long-term success or accidentally produces authoritarian dead-ends. To be clear: - by “authoritarian setback” I mean some nefarious intelligence that inhibits the progress of all others, whether in one planet, system, galaxy, or beyond. - by “mass extinction setback” I mean an accidental fall / regress back earlier in the life tree, such that it inhibits progress in time to get off planet (before terminal event like sun destroying all life). The Chicxulub mass-extinction added much needed entropy — reset a “stuck environment” (300M years of dinos) added needed entropy to get to humans & computers (in ~70M years). (Net better from our pov) BUT it’s hard to predict, if timing for the planet was different, or the object much larger (Theia scale), then life ends or set back so long that we don’t make it off planet in time. 🍿😎
