In September last year, we gathered 100 AI founders, builders, researchers and backers focused on the hard edges and challenges around scaling AI compute and applied intelligence. No stages, no panels - just real talk, open minds, and debates while climbing winding trails between discussion camps on a mountain. From the chip level up to applied AI in hard industries, to questions around the co-existence of humanity and AI. That was Climbing Hard AI peaks. We were lucky to be joined by builders, founders and researchers from organizations including: Anthropic, CDTM, DeepMind, ETHZurich, Google, OpenAI, Stanford, and TUM. And today, we are announcing: Climbing Hard AI Peaks is returning. September 16th - 18th, 2026. The opportunities have gotten larger, the challenges too - it's time to go climbing together again. The band of possible outcomes for our civilizational trajectory has widened, and the margin for error is deadly sharp. In these times, we have to support the builders working on the most consequential technologies of our time. That is what @shipfr8 in Helsinki is all about: a new institution for young technical mavericks going all-in on building the future. They’re a small group of dropouts who took over a former university building and turned it into a monastery for exceptional technical minds from all over the world, from MIT, Stanford, ETH and beyond. We are excited to be collaborating with FR8 to co-host the Helsinki Risk Club on the evening of March 17th at FR8. The Risk Club gathers founders, builders, investors, researchers and policy makers in an intimate setting (Jeffersonian debate dinner) of a maximum of 20 participants, to discuss and debate the key risks and opportunities of our time, with the goal of building and going risk-on in these ultra-volatile times. Strategies will be developed and shared.

If we want better AI, we need human feedback that moves as fast as AI does. We've doubled down on the @RapidataAI team (pre-seed + seed) because they built an ingenious solution to make that possible. ~5,500 humans providing feedback per minute, through apps like Duolingo and Candy Crush.
