Rolled back the years last night at a local book club in Ealing, who invited me to talk about #ClimbsAndPunishment. Started to reread the book in preparation and it made me cringe a little. Still gutted that the proposed Paris-to-Moscow sequel #TourAndPeace never happened… 🚲 📕
Back at this magical place today. Scans and blood tests not been good lately so trying some more chemo to see if it might buy a bit more time. They've told me not to father a child in the next six months. That's scuppered plans.
And now I’m here on a Sunday, in a pub, at a table with a view. I love sitting at this table. It’s upstairs in the pub and many people never venture up here, but it used to be frequented by Richard Burton, Kirk Douglas, Frank Sinatra, Paul Newman, Judy Garland, Muhammad Ali, Princess Margaret and now me.
