@MichaelNey19 @Irishbrat1966 Then they’re not true pain patients. Pain metabolizes opioids, and if you have true chronic/intractable pain, there’s no way in hell you’re going to abuse your medication. Pain and addiction are TWO SEPARATE DISEASES. #GuidelineMeToDeath

@ravensspirit68 @surgrn123 I’ve had to call so many head nurses on duty to get some sadistic nurse from grabbing my leg right where it was pressing against my shattered pelvis for example, and other things. Nurses are either heaven or hell IMO

@surgrn123 How in the world do we find ourselves in a position where these people, charged with the care of the sick, injured, and vulnerable, are not held to account for the emotional and even physical abuse they dole out?

1-I'm livid. I was just phoned by the ER doc I filed a complaint against. Told me he was told to call to see how he could've 'improved my experience'. He then proceeded to tell me by BP was taken in the ER when it wasn't, and kept saying 'sorry you feel that way'...

@ravensspirit68 @_Anonym0us_FL_ Creepy. And, just… why?! You don’t just toss around the name of your disease if you don’t know it intimately. He crossed the wrong patient!

@_Anonym0us_FL_ 1-I don't know. It's the first question I'm going to ask. Second question will be if it's the Hospital's policy to have MDs call and intimidate patients who file complaints. My husband has raised concern about the possibility of the guy is unhinged and retaliating somehow. 🤔

@ravensspirit68 @WizardPuzzle I hate ER doctors. I went in with a cracked acetabulum. Doctor said “well that’s subjective”. (?!) I was back in 5 days with a shattered pelvis and had to go to Shock Trauma, who could only keep me from passing out. My surgeon was 4 hours away at HSS in NYC. It was mayhem.

@WizardPuzzle I was so angry at one point I dropped an F bomb. This was when I he told me that my BP was taken and I told him that if my blood pressure was charted it was forged. He kept saying it was in my chart.

@ravensspirit68 Damn! To your credit: you F-ing go girl! Educate. Self- Advocate. Tell ‘em.

4-The whole call felt like an act of intimidation, he was basically calling me a liar re: my BP not being taken, I was told that the HIPPA violations I experienced over the 7-8 hours 'happen in an ER setting'. 🧐🤔

2-I told him it was unacceptable that he didn't know what #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis was, his response was that it was a chronic illness and he was an ER doctor so he doesn't have to know about chronic illnesses...

@ravensspirit68 You stated that we with chronic pain experience different types of pain. Thank you. I personally can describe 3 unique pain experiences occurring throughout my body. ... Just another 'fact' we pain warriors experience daily.

The experience of pain is unique to us all. It's important to note that many who have chronic illness have more than one type of pain as well, and at the same time. There is stabbing, throbbing, aching, intermittent, burning, sharp, shooting, sickening, and cramping pain.

If we can't even change the narrative re: 'opioids' in the U.S. and provide access, how are we going to promote the truth that #OpioidsSaveLives in other countries? @diederik_lohman The ongoing #OpioidHysteria is killing ppl. Time to put a stop to #GreatOpioidLie.

This literally brings tears to my eyes, I had a freak but w/ viral pancreatic 20yrs ago, it was excruciating, they had me on the max dose of I.V. dilaudid. EVERY HOUR!!!!!! This is SICK & SADISTIC

@ravensspirit68 Bc of my SCI, my hip has been replaced 3x. With all of the cement that has been packed in, my injured leg is now 2” longer. I have to choose between legs to stand on, if on my good leg, it throws my body off = my scoliosis worse than the surgery that paralyzed me with the SCI.

How many times have you been told how important nutrition is w/#chronicillness; and/or referred to nutritionists? Yet the reality of existing w/your illness means you're often too sick to cook healthy meals? Or financial issues limit food choices to just maintaining survival?

I would tag kolodny in his post but he blocked me LOL.. More and more people are seeing how the 2016 CDC guidelines have negatively impacted patient care in pain management, but of course kolodny wouldn’t know it’s affecting patients because he doesn’t manage pain patients smh
