This is what “opioid safety” looks like in 2026. 74-year-old woman. Falls → multiple fractures: collarbone, wrist, ankle & foot ER → ignores bleeding risk, gives anti-inflammatories Orthopedic surgeon → refuses pain meds Urgent care → nothing Her crime? None. No history of misuse. Her reality? Begging for relief while her hand is swollen, black, and broken. Told: “No medication unless you have surgery.” Weeks of suffering. Depression. Abandonment. We didn’t fix a crisis. We created a new one.

Just got a message from another cancer pt. This one had a heart attack from chemo and had open heart surgery. His surgeon won't treat post op pain, and his oncologist won't treat his cancer pain. I am begging one of you to give us a chance and cover this issue. We have tens of thousands of stories. Please. Millions are suffering and dying. @MakisMedicine On top of pain especially chronic pain not being treated. Cancer pts are being denied of pain control post-op pts are being given ivs of acetaminophen (Tylenol) & ibuprofen (ex= advil). Most Dr's are sheep & will not take time to do research. You want truth go 2 dr pt forum.
